It's a comfy shorts and tank top kind of day (errrr summer) because it's been so warm here in the Pacific NW...You know when you're a true Washington girl when it hits 80 degrees and you panic and bring in the portable air conditioner and make a hurried trip to Target to buy the last fan available, because every other person is freaking out right along with you! There's rain and 60 degree weather in the forecast for the weekend and I'm so excited :) I get antsy if it doesn't rain for too many weeks...weird, I know and I am just so excited for Fall. Especially all the yummy fall comfort foods! Bring on the crockpot!
How Far Along: 22 Weeks
Weight Gain: 13 lbs
Gender: Boy! The nursery is starting to come together and I'm so excited to share some pics soon! We officially officially officially have a name for our little man!!!!! So official in fact, that it's on the wall already. I was feeling crafty and made some copycat letters that are similar to the Anthropologie Metallic Letters. I found the DIY tutorial from the What's Up Moms YouTube channel that I adore. They turned out pretty dang cute, and only cost approx $25 for all the letters once I bought all the supplies! Here's a sneak peak!
They are literally stuck to the wall with masking tape because they are so light!
Cravings: I have had a major sweet tooth lately and can't stop thinking about an ice cold Coke, and Reese's peanut butter cups...MMMMM.
Maternity Clothes: Yes and I am in desperate need of a shopping trip.
Looking Forward To: The weather changing so I won't be so freaking hot all the time! I'm ready for fleece, flannel, and boots!
NOT Looking Forward To: I was reminded the other day of my glucose tolerance test coming up...bleh.
Getting Our Lives Ready: We still need to put the crib together and rearrange the nursery as we have our old queen size bed in there because we've had some friends and family staying with us off and on the last few weeks. I got a crazy burst of energy during one of Laila's naps last week and decided to paint. Chris wasn't home so I only rolled where I could reach because I didn't want to get on a ladder being preggers. Check out my handy work haha. I think Chris has probably come to the conclusion that I've officially lost it.
Feeling: Energized and very very happy :) Also feeling my little MR moving and kicking like crazy over the last few days! Love that :)

Laila - One Year Old
I still can't believe a year has gone by since we welcomed Laila Kate into the world. Time just keeps flying by, whether we want it to or not.
Today Laila had her one year check-up!
She weighs: 24.5 lbs (90 percentile) and is 32.5 inches tall (off the charts)!!!
Laila is changing every day it seems, and is turning into a toddler so fast! My cautious girl is not even close to even wanting to walk yet, but she has sure taken to pulling herself up on anything and everything she can find!
I think we are going to have a major chatterbox on our hands very soon, as she wants to talk and communicate so bad. She says Dada (or DAAAAAAAAAA, when she's calling Chris or thinks she hears his truck) Nana, Kitty (Keeeeeeey) and Moo (MMMMMM) when we ask her what a cow says.
Laila and Paisley have grown to be the best of buddies and they play together all day long! I think he even taught her to pat his tummy-smart doggy ;)
She is super fascinated with tummys these days, probably because mine seems to be growing by the hour! But we are constantly explaining to friends and family who come over that "Laila wants to see your tummy" when she is constantly trying to lift up their shirt. Kinda awkward, but really funny ;)
She also can point to her nose, hair, ears, and toes when you ask her and says, "tickticktick" when she tries to tickle your toes, the dog, or any of her stuffed animals.
We have yet to find a food that Laila doesn't like, but recent favorites are strawberries, watermelon, spaghetti, steamed broccoli, green beans, peas, chicken, cantelope and oatmeal.
We recently made the trek down to Seattle to the Woodland Park Zoo and had the absolute best day! This was an important trip for me, as last time I was there was during a tough time in the middle of IVF and Chris and I were wondering if we were ever going to be the doting parents pushing the stroller weighed down with baby supplies, excitedly trying to point out the animals to our little one. And we got to be those people. It was a good day :)

21 Week Bumpdate
We are officially over halfway there and I'm not shy to say that I am starting to count down the weeks. I'm not one who loves being pregnant in the first place, but I can't wait to have this little man in my arms :)
How Far Along: 21 Weeks
Weight Gain: 10 lbs
Gender: BOY! It's still sinking in :) We are so excited, and have done some shopping in the little man section. I always thought it was way more fun to dress a little girl but OMG the boy clothes are cute!
Cravings: Chocolate chip cookies, sour peach rings, and sugary cereal. We currently have Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes and Capn Crunch in the pantry - yikes.
Maternity Clothes: Yes, and SO ready for Fall weather so I can toss these maternity shorts and T-shirts that I am sick to death of. Bring on leggings and big comfy sweater season!
Looking Forward To: Starting to accumulate more baby stuff for our boy, and getting his nursery all ready.
NOT Looking Forward To: Getting out my pump and washing all the parts. Just the sight of it in the closet makes me shudder. I hate that thing and the noise it makes when it's running...all I hear is wacko wacko wacko!
Getting Our Lives Ready: The crib arrived today! Woo Hoo! And I have 3 shades of green painted on the wall, trying to decide but I'm so indecisive.
Feeling: A little overwhelmed but oh so happy :) Baby boy has been super active and Chris has felt him a handful of times! He's especially active in the morning and has actually woken me up the past couple of days! A sign of things to come? I think so!
This week has been filled with lots of walks around our neighborhood now that the weather has cooled down a little big. Laila insists on holding the leash.
Laila has been pulling herself up on anything and everything she can get her hands on lately, which I'm stoked about since I have to get my girl walking by the time her brother is born!
I'll have more of an update on Laila once we go to her one year check next week, but she's acting less like a baby and more like a toddler everyday!
Tomorrow we are headed down to Seattle to the Zoo! We are so excited :) Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of your week!

It's a.......
BOY!!!!!!!!!
We found out today we will be welcoming a son :) Chris and I are so completely thrilled! Without further adieu......I give you Baby BOY Raymor!
Baby boy is healthy, and quite a busy little guy! The ultrasound tech had to chase him all over! A sign of chaos to come? I think so... We also met with our doctor after the ultrasound who confirmed everything looks perfect and confirmed our date for the C-section (assuming I don't go into labor before 39 weeks or my water doesn't break early) for December 23rd and she will be the one to do the C-section. We are so happy and comforted by this, because she was the doctor who performed my first C-section and we absolutely love and trust her. All around, it was a completely amazing day topped off with dinner out with my family and a trip to purchase some BOY clothes! We had to get something blue today, right?
How Far Along: 20 Weeks!
Weight Gain: 10 lbs
Gender: BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Craving: No weird cravings lately...although I've been sleeping like crap so I guess I'm craving a really good night sleep!
Maternity Clothes: Yes
Looking Forward To: Feeling baby boy move more often and stronger kicks! I was a little concerned because I don't feel the baby move very often, but we learned today that my placenta is acting like a cushion between the baby and the front of my belly! I can't remember what it's called, but that's why I'm not feeling much yet. Such a relief! Can't wait for those stronger kicks :) Such a strange feeling to see my ninja baby kicking away on screen but I can't feel a thing!
NOT Looking Forward To: All the lab work I have to do this week! YUCK...I hate having my blood drawn!
Getting Our Lives Ready: I have had the craziest burst of energy the past couple of weeks. We have repainted most of the upstairs of our house, rearranged the downstairs living room into more of a playroom for Laila, and have done tons of projects in the yard since the weather has been beautiful. I think Chris is hoping this version of myself sticks around for awhile because I literally can't sit still and have accomplished so many projects!
Feeling: Like I'm having the best dream...nobody pinch me please.

19 Week Bumpdate
Well, we're coming close to the halfway mark of this pregnancy, and I have to say...its going SO fast! We find out the gender on Monday!!!!! I'm trying not to count down the days because that makes everything seem slower...but who am I kidding? ;) I'm practically counting down the hours! I just am so excited and anxious to hear that baby is healthy and we can move forward with getting a nursery decorated. I have some ideas for both, but we really haven't done anything to the new baby's room except clear it out. Which was a feat by itself!
How Far Along: 19 Weeks
Weight Gain: 8 lbs...we will have the official weigh in on Monday.
Gender: Monday! Monday! Monday!!!!!!!
Cravings: Corn on the cob, Reese's Pieces, and still can't get enough ice water!
Maternity Clothes: Yes
Looking Forward to: Finding out the gender! It makes it all feel more real to be able to say he or she when referring to the baby and we may even have a boy name picked out!!! We aren't going to share the name this time around before the baby is born. We have people ask us all the time what we are thinking for names and I am going to scream if one more person ruins a name by saying, "So and so named their kid that." Or "I knew a ________ and they were such a %&*#!" Or any other snarky comment. We have a name for a boy we love and we're not going to let anyone ruin it garsh darn it! Girl names are so much harder this time around and we have a couple we like, but nothing we are too excited about.
NOT Looking Forward to: Nosebleeds. I had the absolute worst gushing, should we go to the ER? nosebleeds while I was pregnant with Laila and even had to have my nose cauterized TWICE! Well, today was my not so lucky day and I got two gushers. Here we go again.
Getting Our Lives ready: I think I've been trying to nest everywhere but the baby's room because we're repainted almost the entire upstairs and I am going to attempt some craft projects that I found on the What's Up Mom's? YouTube channel. Which by the way is such a great site for moms and moms to be! It's a super easy project for canvas art using scrap book paper. So quick and easy...my kind of project!
Feeling: Excited, nervous and impatient! Is it Monday yet? ;)

Laila's First Birthday
Whew! What a whirlwind these last few days have been celebrating Laila turning one year old! On Saturday we had a BBQ and pool party for family and friends at our neighborhood pool. I initially was going to throw an "Under the Sea" party, but I couldn't find anything really as far as decorations go, so we went with a pink/purple/cupcake/anything cute decoration wise I could find on sale theme :) And it all worked pretty well together!
The cupcakes and smash cake were made by my friend Lindsay (who needs to open her own bakery!)
We had your standard BBQ menu with hamburgers, hotdogs, and an array of salads. Laila had a blast playing with everyone and swimming in the pool with all of her buddies :)
My sweet Laila Bug, we love you more than we could ever say. You are the best thing that has ever happened to us and we are so lucky to be your parents. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Then it was time for presents and cake :)
We had the best time celebrating with family and friends on Saturday and couldn't have asked for anything more. We are so blessed to have so many wonderful supportive people in our lives!
Monday, August 4th is Laila's actual birthday and we had a small family party with my parents, brother Joey and his girlfriend Stefani (who took all of the above pics! Thanks Stefani!)
I never claimed to be a cake maker or decorator! HA at least it was homemade (well...if you count box mix confetti cake as homemade ;) It was pretty good though! My sweet Laila Bug, we love you more than we could ever say. You are the best thing that has ever happened to us and we are so lucky to be your parents. Happy Birthday sweet girl!
